| Customer Reviews: Poor song selection September 2, 2010 MominTN (TN) I agree with the others, the song selection stinks. This would be a GREAT game if there were songs that anybody wanted to sing. My kids played with this for a couple of hours the day we got it - singing the same two or three songs over and over - but it's been on the shelf since. I would love to see another version with some of the good songs!
Bad Song Choices August 20, 2010 LauraC. (Springfield, MO) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I must agree with the other reviews. This is full of songs I didn't even know where in the movies. I have always been a Disney fan and they have so many great songs that are not on this game. The sound is also very quiet and hard to hear while you are trying to sing.
A disappointment full of throw away songs August 12, 2010 Andie Clark (Phoenix, AZ) 15 out of 18 found this review helpful
We preordered this game and could not wait for it to come out! But right away it was a disappointment, there are really not a lot of songs, and none of them are unlock able so what you see is what you get every single time, which gets old really fast.
Also it seems to me that the truly great songs, the one kids love to sing are the princess songs of which this game is in short supply. Disney definitely held out on this one. Some of the songs are truly odd. A Bug's Life- The Time of Your Life? Cars- Real Gone? Can you sing even one line from these totally forgettable songs? Exactly. And yet there was such and incredible song list for Disney to work with, there is one Little Mermaid song, one Beauty and the Beast song and nothing from Pocahontas! My daughter who loves to sing and adores everything Disney was bored after a few plays. If you simply must have this game I would wait until it's marked down to the 19.99 price point because trust me it will be. Cramming this very short game full of songs from their oldest movies and throw away songs from their newest is a dirty trick, Disney is a marketing machine I have a hard time believing they thought kids would rather sing Lady and The Tramp's He's A Tramp, than Pocahontas's Colors of the wind! Come on Disney you can do better!
disappointed with song selection August 12, 2010 Disney Fan (Clermont, FL USA) 47 out of 49 found this review helpful
My family was very disappointed in the song selection that Disney chose to put on here. They put 4 songs from Cinderella, 3 songs from the Toy Story movies (Woody's Roundup??? who is honestly going to sing that) and 2 songs from Cars, but only one song each from Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Mulan and not one song from Pocahontas. How could Disney put together a Sing It collection and not put Part of Your World from Little Mermaid or the title song Beauty and the Beast? Considering Ariel is one of the most popular Princesses they have, I am really surprised. Each year in school, over half the girls from my daughters' classes pick Ariel as their favorite, not Cinderella. We live 15 minutes from Disney in Florida, after seeing and hearing some of the things the Disney company has done, I wouldn't be surprised if they held out some of the more popular songs for a follow-up release. From what I see it doesn't look like there are any songs to unlock, just characters that you put next to your name. Here is the song list for anyone that is interested:
101 Dalmations- Cruella De Vil
A Bug's Life- The Time of Your Life
Aladdin- A Whole New World
Beauty and the Beast- Be Our Guest
Cars- Our Town
Cars- Real Gone
Cinderella- A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Cinderella- Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo
Cinderella- So This Is Love
Cinderella- The Work Song (mice singing)
The Jungle Book- I Wan-na Be Like You
The Jungle Book- Bare Necessities
Lady and The Tramp- He's A Tramp
Lilo & Stitch- Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride
The Lion King- Can You Feel the Love Tonight
The Lion King- Hakuna Matata
The Lion King- I Just Can't Wait to Be King
Little Mermaid- Under the Sea
Mary Poppins- Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Monster's INC- If I Didn't Have You
Mulan- Reflection
Princess and the Frog- Almost There
Princess and the Frog- Dig a Little Deeper
Peter Pan- You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!
Sleeping Beauty- I Wonder
Sleeping Beauty- Once Upon a Dream
