A must-have for any Spongebob fan August 17, 2010
This game is certainly one of the best I've played on the PS2. It has humor, action, and a bit of a challenge too.
Plot:
The plot for this game is pretty simple, but enough to make it interesting. Basically, robots have taken over Bikini Bottom (Spongbob's home), and Spongebob has to stop them. Plankton is involved, of course, so expect several fiendish schemes and devices... My rating- 8/10
Gameplay:
This game plays pretty naturally, and it also has a nice learning curve. Spongebob starts out with relatively few abilities, but you'll unlock new ones later. Plus, you can play as some of Spongebob's friends. The game's layout is simple but clever and challenging. The boss fights are also pretty neat. My rating- 8.6/10
Graphics and Sound:
The music, voice acting, and sound effects are spectacular, really, some of the best I've ever seen. The graphics are also pretty neat, much like Spongebob Squarepants The Movie- they're computer-generated. My rating- 9.2/10
Overall, Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom is a great game- one that you should definitely check out.

This game is both fun and educational all at the same time. I'm not a huge SpongeBob fan but my little one loves the show - for some strange reason. I got them this game as a 'deployment' gift and it did indeed distract her for a few months. It was a welcome gift and she had a great time playing it.
Thought it would be difficult for her to play but after a few times of telling her how to do something through the computer via skype - she caught on... so it wasent that hard at all. Yet, it did challenge her to keep at it b/c she died easily throughout the game itself - which made it harder to beat and worth the $.

I love this game! We bought it for our four year old grandson and it's so much fun we play it with him all the time. Some of the levels are a little to hard for him because he can't read yet but he can play most of them with out our help. If you have a boy or girl that loves to play PC games this one will keep them busy for hours.
