No running game!! January 6, 2009 D. Sarro Madden '09 is a good game, but this is why I loved the NFL 2K games. THERE IS A RUNNING GAME!!!! I made a franchise with Adrian Peterson on the Patriots and I can't get a running game going! I'm not the only one with this problem. My longest rush has been 12 yards. Other than that it's pretty realistic.
Best Madden game yet December 29, 2008 The graphics are an A+. The gameplay is an A-. It is the best game out right now. If you like video games or especially sports video games this is the game for you! Overall, I give this game an A-!
Really? Is this the best EA can do? December 19, 2008 Jason S. Brown (New York, New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is by far the worst Madden game I have ever played. First of all, the game play is choppy at best. Second, compared to other PS3 games, the graphics are terrible. Third and most annoying, you can't customize controls. The standard controls are amazingly different than any PS Madden game before. R2 for turbo, you've got to be kidding me. The run controls are absolutely horrible, with slow reaction time. On defense, switching players in mid play, or before is slow. With all the processing power in PS3, one would think that EA/Tiburon would have put some effort into making the core of this game better, instead of just surviving on the Madden Franchise name. The added elements are not worth it. I'm trading this game in tomorrow, and this seriously puts my future purchase of EA Sports games in jeopardy until they show me something worth while. Terrible job EA way to steal 60 bucks from everyone who was loyal to your titles.
Finally great for the 360 December 5, 2008 M. HALSEY (McMinnville OR) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Madden 09 for the 360 is the great game they promised us back in 07! I have been playing madden for the PS2 and trying every new edition for the 360, but always hated them. Now, Madden 09 is my faverite game! It was made 2x better when Microsoft created the ability to install the game to the 360 harddrive. (Something that should have been an option from day one). Anyway, fanchise is very good, superstar is very good, and 'play now' is great!
It's a dinosaur December 3, 2008 Sumiko (Chiba, Jpn) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Considering the fact that game machines are as powerful as computers these days. The Madden game is not worth the price tag. The running animations do not resemble humans very much. Cyborgs maybe. The quarterback doesn't seem to be holding the ball in his throwing animation. Basically, it just seems like a poor effort all around. I just can't believe they would put out a product like this if 2K were still putting out football games.
