Amazon.com Product Description
Within a bright, vibrant, sunny neighborhood, birds are chirping, dogs are barking, and kids are getting ready to play the day away. But this is no ordinary neighborhood: within each backyard, intense competitions are underway to see who rules the 'hood. Up to four kids in each yard (in single player or online play) are playing with chemicals, dodging remote-controlled cars, playing volleyball, and chasing each other through cornfields. With eight games to play, there's no excuse for not getting outside and hanging with your buddies. Because if you're coming to this street, you better be prepared to play.

5 out of 5 stars Parent Review.. They loved it.   June 10, 2007
Iris (Berwyn, PA)
I purchased this game for my preschool ages daughter. I was surpised my 6th grader and 7th grader loves this game. They play marbles, dodge ball run thru this nieghborhood getting into trouble or playing with PS2 friens. They compete with each especially the marbles. It very good for the creative minded child because they get to creative there own looks and can change the clothes. The mom calls out get out of the water, time for bed. They can buy toys at the store as they run thru the neighborhood looking for adventures. PS my preschool play game with the help of the older ones. In this game she can go to the playground all by herself.

3 out of 5 stars What I think of "My Street" (by Laura)   April 10, 2007
Female Spy
My Street is a somewhat entertaining game. You can create your own character after yourself, or you can really pour your imagination into it, to make a wild child like no other. The voice overs are also good, but why on earth, are there so many more boy voices than girl voices? After all, we girls are unique too. The storyline you follow is... interesting. Apparently you have just moved into a new neighborhood, and you have to prove yourself to be the top dog before school starts back up. Otherwise, during the school year, the bully will steal your lunch money 'till the end of time *sarcastically shivers with fear*. Your overly strict, psychic, and loud mother takes a lot of the fun out of it for you though. I mean come on, "You may not swim in the water without your mask and fins!" when she never got you a pair of mask and fins, or "You may NOT wander so far from home! Get back here NOW!" when your less then 10 feet from your house just wanting to check out the school. For pete sakes, you can't even stay out past nine without her screaming at you! I might as well be thrown into a jail cell. At least the farm chores are fun, except for the cow. I've wasted so much time on that stupid cow... The farm game itself isn't that much fun either, nor is that horrid racing game which is responsible for why I haven't beaten the story yet. Both, ironically, are harder than the more fun dodgeball game, which I assume is the final game. Bullies like dodgeball right? Anyway, I prefer the other mode where you can play what you want when you want with reduced yellings from your mother. Anyway, if you want a good laugh and some fun, go for this game.

4 out of 5 stars okay..... but missing something's   April 22, 2006

My street seems like a good idea for a game, create a charecter, run around doing cool things like RC racing, playing marbles and preety much every thing you can do as a kid, even take it online. how ever- voice overs, though sometimes funny, got reaaaally annoying at times. you would be playing something like "dodge ball" or "marbles" and you would hear something like "haha! i got the skills to pay the Bills" which is stupid.
and you should be able to explore the world more, and not haveing your mom yelling at you from across town (somehow) when you get passed the school yard. overall though, i liked the concept and the gameplay was fun but i still wished those problems werent there.

4 out of 5 stars My 8 year-old loves it   December 6, 2005

(PS2 version)

I finally had to break down and buy this game for our kids for Xmas. Nearly everytime we'd go to the rental store my 8yo son would want to rent it. (Son 8, daughter 5, son 3).

I've read the reviews here and find it really interesting the huge gap in opinions.

For the most part my kids never played the story mode. Although my son found it interesting once I got him to try it. They preferrred to play in game mode where they could simply choose which game to play.

Other than volleyball they seem to have little problems playing the mini-games. Marbles and dodgeball is their favorite.

I've played along with them and have found no issues with control or graphics. Yes, the name-calling of the characters is extremely obnoxious and border-line rude. I'm not sure it will teach kids positive behaviors in that respect. Still the games are fairly entertaining.

Certainly I wouldn't recommend spending a ton of money for this game but if you can find it for $20-$25 there's a good chance it will get some good playing time.

- Stupid voice-overs
