Broken after 2 weeks! December 30, 2008 E. Jones I was very happy at first with this controller, despite one of the buttons near the on/off switch breaking and falling into the main cavity as soon as I took out the guitar. Now it rattles. That's not my main issue, however. In the few weeks I've had it, it has already developed a very loud clicking noise on every strum, and its biggest problem is that whatever tells it to activate star power is broken. Instead of tilting my guitar to activate it, it just automatically does it whenever I have enough energy. This is frustrating, because a key part of Guitar Hero is being able to maximize your points using star power. I tried taking it apart to figure out what was wrong, but the hex bolts stripped and now the main controller's innards are locked away forever.
Sorry, Kramer, but 3 strikes and you're out. I'm online right now to purchase a different brand replacement. I do have the white wireless guitar by Activision, and have had no problems with it yet.
Works for awhile December 1, 2008 Jennifer Dunn We bought the GH3 bundle that included this guitar back in March (08)(maybe before or after that, not posative!)..the guitar worked perfectly. Untill recently. It started with notes being cut off and now some of the buttons only work when they want to. Seems to work better when you pull down on the neck of the guitar while playing, maybe a problem with the connection between the 2 pieces?? I think the detachable neck was not a good idea. The guitar did work great for months and has been used ALOT by me, my husband and our 9 year old. Despite our recent problems with the guitar, I personally like this guitar much better than the others I have tried and do plan on purchasing a new one.

i just wanted to add my own experience about this controller. i got the guitar hero 3 bundle for christmas last year and the controller would not work with my ps2 system because it is one of the older fatter models. so i just use my old wired controller that came with the guitar hero 1 bundle. the game itself is great along with all the other guitar hero games but be weary of the wireless controller depending on the ps2 model you might have. my wireless controller just sits in the corner for now and i actually came on here to see what they sell for lol.

Okay, first off I'd like to say that I loved the previous Guitar Hero games, Guitar Hero 2 being my favorite. And I also loved this one but it had some issues. The battling with the bosses, not so terrific. And the setlist isn't my favorite but it does have a lot of awesome songs on it.
Now the wireless Kramer guitar that comes within the bundle has gotten some trash talk about it but I, along with everybody I personally know that also owns this item, has absolutely no problems with it whatsoever. My guitar works just fine. Oh, and another thing, mine was given to me a little over a week ago and I haven't had to change the batteries yet, even with the continuous shredding.
Never Worked!!! Do Not Buy This!!! March 5, 2008 Gio M P (Brooklyn, NY) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this from a Gaming Store, I thought "wow a wireless controller for PS2?". Bundled with the game this must be a great controller being that most of the buttons are almost active... sad to say it does not work as I thought it would, the connectivity of the controller to receiver will drive you mad it states that it would not work near cordless phones, microwaves, wireless routers... etc. guess what thats an average home today, or your neighbor's so I highly Do Not recommend wireless controllers unless you live in the middle of nowhere... have to get a wired one now. hope this was helpful Amazon send this back if you have them in stock
