Extremely Realistic! December 27, 2008 Paul L. Adams (Wilmington, NC, USA) First off, I'm a new/casual gamer. I don't play that much. But I always wanted to fly jets, so I decided to buy a PS/2 and pickup an aircraft simulator. This one had excellent reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It's certainly worth it!!! The heads-up-display is extremely accurate. If you've ever seen Top Gun with Tom Cruise then expect the same with this game! Because of this, there was definitely a learning curve, but the game has a 14 step tutorial that introduces you to flight terminology and acrobatics, and won't let you take the next step until you have successfully completed the current one. The only thing that really trip me up is the fictional wars and names. The game is SO real and life-like until you actually believe you're fighting one of our past wars like Desert Storm or Vietnam, so when you get your briefing and you hear these "other" names it kind of throws you off. But thats it! This is one true to life gaming experience!
Fun in the Sky November 7, 2008 -Bill I'm new to the Ace Combat series. I found this game to be enjoyable. Graphics are superb.
SHort but good September 1, 2008 Nicholas Travaglini I love the game, but I thought that it went by a little too fast. It neede to be longer.
Not bad August 25, 2008 Sarin David (New York) Writing this review after 2 months of playing AC5.Enjoyed Belkan War more than AC5. The only plus is that, u have lot more options in selecting aircraft in Ace Combat 5,except for this it never really tested my skills.Would rate Belkan War 5 stars compared to AceCombat 5.
EXCELLENT August 10, 2008 Laramie Rodriguez I loved this game! The storyline was great and the planes and levels were beautifully simulated. I've never been a one for level games - I prefer sports games - but this tops them all. I recommend this to anyone.
