One Of The Best Nintendo Games September 29, 2008
Silky Greensleeves
This was easily my favorite video game growing up.While most liked The Super Mario Games;I always used to carry on over,how great this game was.First of all,it had fantastic graphics for A Nintendo game.Secondly, it had realistic game play,in the sense,you really felt like you were controlling the characters.Third,it was challenging,trying to find all the keys and gadgets you needed to get around the house.Then fourth and final,it was so much fun.Leave it to A genius like George Lucas,and his company Lucas Arts,to come up with such an amazing game.It's A mixture of Adventure,Sci-Fi,Humor,and even A little romance,all rolled into one exciting game.It makes me mad that,they have yet to remake this game for Playstation or any of the newer consoles.This game still ranks in my book,as one of the all time great NES games.A 5 star game,without any question.In what other games can you capture A meteor,feed A purple alien,cook A hamster, Drown in A Radioactive Swimming pool,launch an Edsel like A rocket,Die and come back as An invisible ghost,and even nuke you and your friends to kingdom come.Maniac Mansion is the bomb!

I fell in love with this game the first time I played it (wayyyyyyy...back....whennnnnn) and can't say I feel any differently now. The music still gives me the creeps...frantically trying to get away from the aliens before they lock me into the dungeon . as a tip...befriend Ed and don't touch his hamster unless he isn't in the room...and don't use the keys in the car (other than the trunk) until the very end of the game! buy it now!!! goodluck and enjoy!

Maniac Mansion is one of the most well thought out, clever, funny inventive games ever released and irony has it on the old NES. Maniac Mansion is one reason people still own and run their NES machines. The game is filled with surprises and laughs. Its also nice to play a game which is not rushing you. You can explore and take your time as you uncover the secrets of Maniac Mansion. Give this game a play and you will be glad you did. Wonder what the game play is like? Think FULL THROTTLE, Day of the tentacle, Even Leisure Suite Larry share game elements with Maniac Mansion.

When i was a kid (im 24 now) this game was so amazing and fun...who cares that the graphics wern't great back then but in this game there is so many senarios you can do...like sending the cassate tape to late night talk show host, (not to mention microwaving random things) Buy this game!!!

Like the other reviews, I had this game as a kid/teen, both on the computer and NES. Definately one of my favorites, one I'll always remember playing fondly.
Nindendo, please revive this game for Wii! I just know it'll be one of your best sellers!
