I bought this game when I bought my PS3, along with 3 other games. I played GTA IV first, and then this. Thing is, I thought I'd be mostly playing the baseball game I got over the summer... WRONG! This game totally sucked me in. The solo is great, some say too short but I think it's perfect, especially because it gets you ready for multiplayer.
I had a friend who had a PS or PS2 10 years ago that we played sometimes. And before that, when I was a kid, we had pong on the magnavox unit. Good times. :) I've seen commercials so I knew things had gotten better, but wow, this game just really highlights what modern gaming systems can do. CoD 5 seems good, and I'm starting on it, but I want to give CoD 4 some love before I get too involved with CoD 5. CoD 4 is still definitely worth buying even with CoD 5 out, because there's a ton of people actively playing it.
How is this game only getting an average of 4 stars? The only thing more fun than this game is my dog. :) ...and even he has to take a back seat to this game sometimes (not often though, Kaiser rocks!).

The single player is pretty fun, but the online multiplayer is easily playable for hours at a time.

For sure, this is the best modern real war ever, real weapons, and more. Either single player or multiplayer is great to play.
