Videogamers of the world get really frustrated when games are released in other territories long before they reach the shops in their home country, if they ever get released at all. You want to play that blockbuster survival horror which is out in Japan three months before it hits the shelves elsewhere. Or maybe you bought an imported Wii because you wanted to get it early, and you now want to play games from your own region without buying a second machine. Wii FreeLoader lets you play ANY region of Wii game on a US Nintendo Wii. At last, you can import games from other territories and play them on your Wii. Wii FreeLoader is really easy to use. Simply insert your FreeLoader disc and load it in the usual way. When the drive stops, eject the Wii FreeLoader disc and insert the game, which then loads and plays just like it would on its own region of Wii. Wii FreeLoader requires no modifications to your console. As well as letting you play Wii games from all regions, Wii FreeLoader also works with some imported Gamecube games when played on your Wii.

This product, in my experience, is useless. I have a Wii that was purchased about 9 months ago (March 2008) and has never been on-line (so no debilitating upgrades have been installed). I installed the Datel Free Loader as instructed and ... nothing. No change in the usability of the Wii products that I attempted to load. I tried over five different programs and got no functionality in any of them. I think this program is well named - it is indeed a "free loader" and we who buy it are the lunch!!!

My son has enjoyed using this product to play Japanese games on his Wii. He has had a lot of fun with the one game he has and is looking forward to getting more for Christmas. He really gets a kick out of playing games not to be released in the US for ages!

It is no compatible with Naruto EX, however, it is compatible with Naruto EX 2. Don't forget, once you use the freeloader, use it will ALL games, not just imports.

I bought the Freeloader in order to play Naruto EX, after spending my money on the FreeLoader and the Japanese Game, I found out that it was not playable with it (there is no listing of incompatible games in the freeloader box or manual). I sent Datel/Codejunkies an email explaining that I could not make the game work, after following their instructions, later, I receive an email with this answer:
Unfortunately, the Wii Freeloader is not compatible with Naruto EX. We apologize for the inconvenience.
