4 out of 5 stars Patience is the key.   October 22, 2008

Every puzzle takes time to decipher, unravel and unlock.

So are the intricate twists and often-times red-herrings of this game. Those that dismiss it are looking for a quick answer. But true fans of the mystery genre rely on wit, observation and listening. All the facts are there. It is up to you to discover them.

There are four endings to the game based on what you do within. Follow the book, and you just might be right. Follow your instinct, and see where it takes you.

With that said, I must admit I have not fully solved the game yet. Neither have I resorted to reading "cheats on the Internet". But I continue to press on in search of the fiend. If you buy this game, be prepared to be challenged. And let your brain, not the Internet, help guide you to the solution. After all, isn't a challenge you sought in buying this game??

It is a fantastic journey so far, and I'm sure my concluding review will be the same.

And so will yours.

3 out of 5 stars A short boring game   September 3, 2008
K. Dyment (Allen Park, MI)
I bought this game because I'm not an avid gamer....I have never finished a game before...and the ones that require skill and shooting always make me angry because I suck at them. This game at least had none of that. But.....although this game is relatively easy (all you do is pick stuff up, talk to people and go from room to room....screen to screen to advance the game), I would not have gotten through it without several cheats online. I would have given up. There is no instruction on what to do to move the game along. There are things you have to find, take apart or put together that make absolutely no sense unless you found it in an online cheat site. All in all...I'm glad I could actually finish this game (it's my first)but I did so in about 3 days of playing off and on....and had to resort to cheats to get anywhere. All in all...not worth the 29.99 price tag I paid.

2 out of 5 stars If you love the book, you'll tolerate the game   August 31, 2008

Having just recently read this book, I was excited to see it was a game and immediately ordered it. The storyline was fresh in my mind and I was excited to play.
I should have ordered the game guide, as we spent as much time online trying to figure out what to do next time and again throughout the game. There are some parts where yoy can figure out what to do next, but for most of what we have played the "puzzle" is just trying to randomly guess what the game expects you to do next and being stuck until you either stumble upon it or, get a tip elsewhere. There are not enough clues in the gameplay to know what to do next.
Basically you search the masion and grounds over and over again, completing small tasks and it gets kind of monotonous, as there is litle action , just a ton of walking from place to place.
I stopped playing after a few hours and won't play again without a game guide to walk me through it. Maybe it will get better, but so far 4 people are dead and I have walked over every inch of the game area at least 10 times.

5 out of 5 stars Agatha for wii   July 21, 2008

I love a good murder mystery and this is the first one for wii. Yes, it took forever to complete and there were some very tedious times trying to figure out what you needed but all in all I got wrapped up in this game and hope there are more in the genre coming out. I DID have to go online and find some cheats in the middle of the game or I would have never finished and just given up but I still enjoyed it. If you are a fan of Christie you will like the game. It is geared towards adults and I think most high school and college kids would find it too slow to be fun.
