Great game for little ones starting out! December 2, 2008 Batchjen (Simsbury, CT) I know this game has mixed reviews but for us it is my 5 year old's favorite game! The princess never "dies" so she is able to just keep playing and she loves to customize what she looks like within the game. It is easy but it is perfect for us - even my 3 year old can join in to "wave her wand at the bad guys" to help.
great fun...my 3 year old granddaughter.loves it! November 29, 2008 Colleen J. Wagner (ohio) Several levels of difficulty but my 3 year old granddaughter does pretty good with it...better than me!
Horrible November 22, 2008 L. Cox 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This game was horrible. The "bogs"/scarey guys were ugly, they scared my 6 year old. The graphics weren't that great and you do the same thing over and over in the whole game! My daughter wanted to play it, but made me do pretty much everything because she was scared of the ugly little bogs.
I'm glad we just rented this instead of buying, im surprised Disney didn't take the time to come up with a better game than this!
Not for more sensitive little girls!!! November 20, 2008 charlotte vibble 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is fun and my 5 year old loved that she got to customize her character, my beef is the Bogs. I really don't see why they had to put such a scary character in a game they KNEW was going to have its target audience as 4-6 year olds (they say it's for 8-12 year olds, but not too many girls that age are still into princesses). The game has some cute mini games, and they could have added more of those and it would have been fine, they did not need the Bogs. (Oh, and the Bogs look kind of like that little goblin in the movie Cats Eye if that gives you any indication...) as the levels get more difficult, the amount of Bogs surrounding you goes up, and they get harder to vanquish (really hard, you have to swing the remote rapidly up and down for a long time to get them to disappear)..... also they slow down time and surround you in this green cloud. Even to me it's a little spooky. Yes, the princesses don't die, but try telling that to a hysterical 5 year old who sees her alter ego being attacked and her life line shooting down. This game scares my daughter so much she refuses to play it anymore, and when we convince her to give it another try, and stand right next to her..... within a minute she is sobbing again, so we've given up. We should have rented it first, and now we've learned our lesson, we rent every game before we buy so this doesn't happen again. Just know, if the Bogs make your child uneasy in the easier levels..... they just get scarier.
Great for LITTLE girls November 19, 2008 Carey K. Iwahashi My 4 yr old daughter loves this game. We have played through it together 5 times now. For any child over 7 or 8 it would be horribly boring. This is great for ages 3 -7. There aren't enough games for this age group. We have to always play together and it is boring for me. I often "pass out" while playing with her, only to be awaken with a wii remote tap on the head. In the Cinderella area, my daughter spent 15 minutes jumping in puddles. Boring for me, but I love hearing the sound of her little laugh. I had to limit our play time to 3 hours per week, it has become a great help in rewarding good behavior. If your little girl love Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, or Jasmine, she will enjoy this game. It isn't a game to park you kid in front of while you get something done. But I like doing it with her for counting, colors, and reading more then the Vtech. I really wish there where more games like this. I was hesitant to get it because of so many bad reviews. They where wrong.
