Nintendo DS Lite Protective Filter December 30, 2008

You only get one try at the protecters. It is hard to pull it off. It gets dusty if you try to clean the protecters. Overall, I would give this product a 4 star.

Excellent product, just purchased a set of these filters for Christmas and i can honestly say it exceeded my expectations.
I had some minor scratches on the touch screen of my DS Lite which actually fainted and almost disappeared after applying the filter.
Great quality, easy instructions (but read carefully! and the filter explained on it is for the top screen, careful!) and clean clean clean your screens so you don't get little bits of dust or whatever stuck on the filters

I wanted to protect my new DS and thought these filters would do the job. I only wanted one for the bottom screen to protect it from the stylus. When putting it on, I got a few air bubbles and wanted to try again. The instructions say to use a piece of tape to lift up the filter; this did not work at all. I decided to forget about the air bubbles but then felt the filter was preventing the stylus from making good contact with the screen. I found this too frustrating and wanted to remove the filter. This was almost impossible as I didn't want to damage the screen in the struggle to lift up a corner of the filter. Finally I did get the filter off and into the nearest wastebasket. Only $7 but a complete waste of money.
Good protection at a good price December 12, 2008

I got this when I first got my DS Lite. Being a bit of a cautious freak, I tend to want to give my gadgets the best protection possible. I found it easy to apply as it came with clear instructions (except that the font size of the instructions were small).
Overall, I think it offers the DS Lite's screens reasonably good protection from scratches etc. That being said, I'm not sure how or why I'd scratch the screens. I can see there being some risk with the lower touch-screen but aside from that, the risk of scratches is generally low.
In any event, it's good to know that my DS Lite's screens are now protected. Not only can I be more carefree with the DS Lite now, I can sleep easy :)
All in all, it's reasonably priced, quite easy to use and offers good protection to the DS Lite's screens.

They seem to be doing their job. During application I was trying to be extra careful but I still managed to get dirt and air bubbles. I put the screens onto my DS lite and then that was it. I could not seem to remove the things for the life of me. I've tried all sorts of tape and they refuse to budge. I don't want to use a needle or something like that and risk scratching the screen so now I'm stuck with protective layers and debris staring me in the face. I feel that with normal careful use, screen protectors are not necessary.
